Handknit in the traditional Irish way with a strong stitch pattern.
Like the moss filled diamonds (diamonds and always good?) a strong honeycomb centre and the Donegal link cables.
Knitting this sweater is a conversation with the past and a joy us Aran knitters to make.
Shown here in our Donegal organic Aran wool. In Aran talk it’s called white but it’s really a milky shade, like the sheep it comes from. While it is undyed it is super well scoured (cleaned) and three fine threads are spun together making it tough but soft too.
The three dimensional look of the stitches are most distinct when knit in this yarn.
The silhouette is roomy with a set-in wider sleeve.
Is it his or hers? Definitely both.
