About Edel

A graduate of the fashion programme at Limerick College of Art & Design, Ireland, Edel Mac Bride worked in the industry across Italy and the USA before setting up in business at home.

Initially at the Derry City Craft Village, the business relocated in 1993 to the historic setting of Convoy Woolen Mills (now the Convoy enterprise Centre).

Her collections have been accredited with numerous awards including the Late Late Show Designer Of The Year for Knitwear, Satzenbrau Northern Ireland Designer Award - twice, and she has made numerous television appearances.

Edel worked with international fashion designer Paul Costello before deciding to specialise in her own knitwear brand. The company operates its own retail shop at No 5, The Mill while also supplying a range of best selling styles to stores in Ireland and abroad. Over 2000 square feet of carefully red brick space houses the retail shop with its various merchandise, specialty workshop area and a newly added food bar / coffee shop. Soon to be added is an art gallery and interiors space.
